• Account details: email address, display name, profile photo and bio, and the authentication method you use (email link or Google sign-in).
• Content you post: comments, posts, event and news submissions, photos, and business listing details.
• Business and advertiser details: business name, contact information, description, images and the placements you buy.
• Messages you send us through the contact form.

• Usage signals: page and listing views, likes, saves, follows, and clicks on ticket, dining or deal links.
• Device and connection data: browser type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, referring page, and timestamps.
• Cookies and similar storage, described in our Cookie Policy.

If you allow it in your browser, the map and “near me” features use your device location. We use it to sort results and do not store precise coordinates with your account.

• Operate the Site: sign you in, show your content, personalize feeds, and run the map and calendar.
• Process payments for tickets, sponsorships and guide slots, and prevent fraud.
• Moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service and Content Policy.
• Measure performance: which events, guides and deals people read and click, in aggregate.
• Attribute affiliate clicks and commissions to our partner networks.
• Send transactional email such as sign-in links, purchase receipts and notifications you opt into.

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are performance of a contract (accounts and purchases), legitimate interests (site security, analytics, affiliate attribution), consent (non-essential cookies, marketing email), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the Site:

• Our cloud backend and database provider (Supabase infrastructure), which stores accounts, content and engagement data.
• Our payment processor (Stripe), which handles card details directly — we never see or store full card numbers.
• Our email provider, which delivers sign-in links and transactional messages.
• Affiliate networks and merchants, including Impact, Rakuten, CJ, Vivid Seats, Eventbrite, OpenTable and Groupon, which set their own cookies and receive click data to credit commissions.
• Analytics and error-monitoring tools used to keep the Site fast and working.
• Law enforcement or regulators when legally required, and an acquirer in the event of a merger or sale of the business.

When you click through to a partner, that company's own privacy policy governs what it collects.

We use essential cookies for sign-in and security, plus affiliate attribution and analytics cookies. Details and your choices are in our Cookie Policy. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required.

Account and content data is kept while your account is active. Posts and comments remain visible until you or a moderator remove them. Payment and tax records are retained as long as the law requires (generally seven years). Aggregated, de-identified analytics may be kept indefinitely.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell it); to limit use of sensitive information; and to withdraw consent. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of the EEA and UK under the GDPR, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

To make a request, contact us through the contact page from the email address on your account. We respond within 45 days (CCPA) or one month (GDPR) and will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

We use encrypted connections, row-level database access rules, and scoped permissions so that users can only reach their own data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you as required by law.

The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
