Content & Comment Policy

Anyone who posts a comment, creates a post, submits an event or news tip, uploads a photo, or creates a business listing. It works alongside our Terms of Service.

• Firsthand information about what is happening: times, lines, parking, whether it is worth going.
• Honest opinions and reviews, including critical ones, stated as your experience.
• Accurate event and business details you have the right to share.
• Your own photos of Long Island places, events and food.

• Harassment, threats, bullying, or targeting an individual employee or patron.
• Hate speech or slurs based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
• Defamatory claims, knowingly false accusations, or fabricated reviews.
• Sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or content involving minors in any sexual or exploitative context.
• Illegal activity: drug sales, weapons sales, ticket fraud, counterfeit goods.
• Spam, repetitive promotion, link farms, SEO stuffing, or affiliate links posted by users.
• Doxxing or posting someone's private information, including phone numbers, addresses or license plates.
• Impersonating a person, business, venue or Right Now LI staff.
• Copyrighted photos, text or video you do not have permission to post.
• Fake, expired, misleading or unauthorized event listings, deals and business claims.

Only submit a business or venue you own or are authorized to represent. Listing details must be accurate and current, offers must be genuinely available on the stated terms, and images must be yours to use. We may verify ownership before publishing, and we may remove or unpublish a listing that is inaccurate, abandoned, or in breach of this policy.

Content may be reviewed automatically and by our moderators. We may hide, edit for formatting, or delete any content, and may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly break these rules, at our sole discretion and with or without prior notice. We are not obligated to monitor content and are not responsible for content posted by users.

Use the report control on a comment or post, or write to us through the contact page, including a link to the content and why it breaks this policy. Urgent safety issues are prioritized. If your content or account was actioned and you believe it was a mistake, reply through the same channel and a moderator will review the decision.

Buying a sponsored placement or guide slot does not entitle a business to have honest user criticism removed. We remove content because it breaks this policy, not because it is unflattering.
